No honor among thieves.

This is a fitting stick in the eye for Spector.

Arlen Specter's switch to the Democratic Party has cost him his seniority on Senate committees.

The Senate passed a resolution Tuesday night that made him the most junior Democrat on the committees on which he serves.

A spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., says the seniority issue will be revisited after the 2010 elections. Specter is up for re-election next year in Pennsylvania.

The five-term Specter serves on the Appropriations, Judiciary, Veterans Affairs, Environment and Public Works, and Special Aging committees.

Specter had been the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee, which is preparing for hearings on a Supreme Court nominee.

A message left with Specter's office Wednesday was not immediately returned.

lol.....Here's a guy who could have been loyal to his party and principles, and who should have gracefully declined running for reelection, given his age and the state of his health. He could have helped a successor. Than he could have become a lobbyist, as they all do, and still throw his weight around.

But no, he showed himself for the unprincipled hack he is.

And got exactly what he deserved from the unprincipled hacks he joined.<g>

What happens when you trust Democrats. Specter was dumb not to know that.
