Tim; That idea is pretty much irrelevant whether or not we passed all the stimulus and bailout bills. Unemployment insurance, welfare etc. have been around for a long time. That is EXACTLY what I am saying. If you are going to pay for them anyway, why not put them to work? I just said that! That begs the question the issue is whether we are getting something positive for the nation. Goodness! If a bridge is falling down and the government fixes it so that the road is usable is that not getting something? If schools are crumbling and the government pays to put people to work building a new school are we not getting something? Of course we are getting something. Other wise we all might just go live in a cave. It's called ...........society.
