The RLX was down today, and that's clearly been a leadership group since 03/10.....the NDX was flat despite a 1.7% move in the SPoo's. The action is narrowing to the upside, and volume has been completely absent on the last move. I'll take a shot with those parameters on my side.

IRA/401-k money about done coming in
Earnings season over (no more pumping over a penny)
"Stress test" confidence builder now officially leaked
unemployment going nuts
Colleges getting out (lots of kids looking for work)
GM bankruptcy in less than a month
Supposedly the troops are going to be coming home soon (most likely another lie by the government) to no jobs
China selling Treasuries
Property values continuing to fall

I am not too concerned about this rally powering forward for very long. We are going into a long period of no "news" to hype. There is a very good reason for the "sell in May and go away" saying.

One of my screens is a 1-minute TICK. There was a stretch between 1:45 and 3:00 where the TICK showed a negative number only twice. It spent most of its time above +500. There is some powerful buying in this market and rotation is showing up. I second your opinion about not being short this market. At the very least, I hope my brothers and sisters here that are short honor thy stops and trade the market you have, not the one you think you should have. Action in AXP was very weak during that selloff from 3- 3:30, right about an hour after it was disclosed they won't be needing any capital. We're in a George Costanza world. Be careful. If you turned the charts upside down you'd be trying to catch falling knives and that is a recipe for disaster.
