Tesla worked on military applications to an unknown degree. Any papers the government classified was probably as a precautionary measure, but remember Tesla died in 1943.

I think that is overblown. He was lighting light bulbs in Colorado at the turn of the Century wirelessly. Using some sort of though-the-ground transmission

Not sure how your first sentence correlates to the second and third sentences.
