Interesting take.. The US already has been exporting NG to Mexico for a long time as I understand it.. so that works.. but if the US can be self sufficient in that frame.., and I think this is where China is trying to head.. why not China.. with a much lower entry point level to attain middle class status ? Not sure that scenario is in the best interests of Canada frankly. Not likely we'll get fair value for our resources in that scenario... We are a trading nation also and the big flaw in out setup presently is the almost 80% trade with with the US.. Hope we don't get stuck that way.. We are finally taking some steps to get out of that wrongheaded mess..

If the US does turn inward everything will cost more.. but then again J6P needs to clean up his balance sheet anyway.. .. Standard of living needs go down in any event ... Coal cannot be put on the back burner (no pun intended :O).. Green will have to wait.. unless a totally new mindset emerges.. not a bad idea maybe in that regard.. Can't see it though..
