IMO the conference call may have been postponed to minimize the shock to the stock of the buying company in light of today's market action! Just a wishful thought!

With $657M in cash? Hmmmm. My concern would be with restructuring to reduce costs, SGI could end up with too much cash and be too attractive to a unfriendly takeover. Finding the **right** buyout partner -- i.e. one that won't grab the company for the cash and sell the parts off -- becomes an issue.

The good news about the cash is that it gives the company has some room to manuver...

Unofficially, -- and getting to the point where I think the takeover talk is **just** talk.
