eric-

I traded on Datek today, seemed to work fine. I had a few busy signals getting quotes, but kept trying and got through after 2-3 reloads. I'm glad my stop limit executed properly, lost a bit today, but will make it back.

>>has anybody made any trades these two days? (last Fri. and today) I didn't do any trades and was wondering how did Datek fare in busy market days.

I had two stop losses execute very early this morning. I had 'em set really tight (thankfully). I had no problem getting in for quotes occasionally throughout the day.

Hi, Eric--

Early this morning, prior to the market opening, I submitted 8 sell trades through Datek. 4 were Nasdaq, and 4 were NYSE. All 4 Nasdaq trades were finished within 4 seconds of the market opening. 3 of the NY trades were finished within 1 min, 35 seconds of the opening, and the fourth did not go through as the market dropped below my limit offering. I adjusted the price and it then sold within 22 seconds of re-submitting.

My experience with Datek has always been excellent. I have been using them since December last year.

I checked quotes throughout the day using Datek, mostly without a glitch. In addition, I made 2 trades, but of which were executed within 20 seconds. Although I had problems with Datek's executions before, I have to compliment Datek on the remarkable stability of their system today under extreme market conditions. Needless to say, this increases my confidence in their overall system.
