It isn't merely whining.

Obama damned well had better read this paragraph:

Otherwise, in four or eight years, like Mary Robinson before them, future second-guessers will decide, say, that U.S. drone attacks in Pakistan constitute war crimes, and that former commander in chief Obama must be hauled before the bar of some mini-state to stand trial. After all, his decisions involve risking civilian deaths, not just shoving terrorists into a wall (and no protective neck braces, either).

Because he's next in line. If his coup attempt fails and he is unable to consolidate his power in the US, four or perhaps eight years from now he will be out on his ass. And a lot of people on the other side are going to seeking revenge for his actions.

He could well end up facing charges for some of his own actions.

The president has played to the crowd politically, but the principles underlying his policies are opaque and continually subject to change. This hardly constitutes leadership.

This guy is grand standing...he has no idea what Obama is doing on this matter or how he is playing the politics of the matter. This isn't something that's played out in the public square...nor is it a topic on which Obama has absolute jurisdiction or rule.
