My scenario is that this is the exact same thing that happened in early 1931. I think that matches yours more or less because by the end of 1931 the Dow had plunged to new lows.

They will probably rig the Dow when GM is pulled out to prevent the same outcome this time.

Never ending stream of finance guys on CNBC this morning. Mute has been on much of the time. They need to put a pile of dog poop at the bottom of the screen under where the guest's mouths are.
