Did i mention FDR trying to pack the Supreme court or sending Japanese americans to concentration camps. Shit happens These were the seeds of fascism. He was stopped before he could consolidate it. Nobody is acting to stop Obama, and there is no indication anyone will. Obama's abuse of power is beyond anything I've seen in my lifetime. Far beyond anything Richard Nixon did. The only thing is that with Nixon, the Republicans had sufficient integrity to see the wrong in it and stand up against him. The Democrats will not stand up against Obama because they do not discern right from wrong, only power from weakness. And they will stop at nothing to have power.

Look Joe, obama is excersizing the power of the presidency. These things have happened with other presidents. Your point is a good one. I dont know all the details and i hesitate just accepting barones piece as gospel on this. But assuming your right, your leap to mussolini is uncalled for. Hell, look at nixon with law breaking, truman and steel strike, bush and torture, presidents overstepping not all that new. Soon you can start calling for his impeachment based on property rights breach. I am not calling for impeachment. Voters gave Obama almost total power. He has a choice to use it judiciously, or he can become a thug, knowing he can get away with it, as his power is unchecked. That's why Chrysler deal is alarming. GM is coming up. BTW, you expressed your hopes before the election. I expressed mine here: My hope for the country is a very modest one: That we will get to vote again in 2012 in a meaningful election.
