"Corporate media" isn't the issue. "Media" is. There is no requirement that the voices be corporate.

Also even if for some reason we artifically limit the discussion to sources connect to corporations, they have also increased. Corporate websites and blogs have expanded, political magazines are very diverse, even if you only consider national level news and commentary its a lot more diverse than it was in the past, you've gone from the the traditional network news sources nightly news programs to the networks adding various "news magazines" to CNN, and then MSNBC and Fox News Channal. If you go beyond "news and commentary", then we've gone from a few channels to hundreds.

In terms of views presented (probably a more important criteria than number of sources) things have gotten far more diverse.
