Does anyone on this thread know much about a bear market? I am too young to have experienced it, and so can only speculate. What is the general market wisdom on the conditions that cause a bear market? ie. High inflation or deflation? I would guess that since inflation is low, and the U.S. economy in still very strong irrespective of Asia, the conditions would negate the likelyhood of a bear market. Then again, I really have no idea.

My general expectation is for a couple of month correction, followed by another Bull market.

Hank, the breadth of this crash is enormous. There were only 5 SI stocks that posted a gain today. And 2 more that were even. All others down. Wow.
