darrell,
our rates are falling because lots of money is moving into treasuries and bonds. this will continue for a short time due to the flight to quality. even george soros is starting to sell his bonds today according to cnbc. remember the 10 billion purchase last week. with all of these markets devaluating this will cause tremendous pressure on japan. japan holds half of our national debt, they will have to start selling to support their economy (have you noticed that japan's market is being held around 17,000, they are doing this with their penson funds). when they start selling our interest rates will rise in order to attract other buyers. as far as gold is concerned i expected gold to rise beacuse of the flight to quality, switzerland ruined that after anouncing their huge sale. things seem to be worse than i thought, the reason governments are selling gold is to support their economies. governments dont sell gold when their expecting inflation and the price to increase, their expecting deflation.

this isnt the whole picture and kind of thrown together. if you'd like i'll tie everything together and post tommorow.
