Quite correct. TJ has an anti-British, anti-American legacy stemming from his grandfather's anti-colonial days. We should note that both he and his foreign affairs grandfather were educated in the British/American realm - ingrates!! They got their comeuppance booting the British out when the Japanese took over ... suddenly habeas corpus, John Stuart Mill and being a British Subject didn't look so bad after all. They were being liberated from a feudal past but didn't appreciate it. Now TJ thinks "liberating" Tibet from a feudal past was a good thing. But you must admit the USA has a bit of a public relations image problem when TJ prefers to align with a village idiot child molesting leper than with USA foreign policy. It's comical how fawningly adulatory he is of China and scathingly deprecatory of the USA. But let's face it, living in Hong Kong and commuting for business in China doesn't lend itself to saying anything untoward about China's political system, or they might bring him in for questioning. Mqurice PS: I hasten to add that I am NOT against lepers. Some of my best friends are lepers and they should be treated as human too, just like TJ.
