Like all defeated people in exile, you dream of redemption in the future. Perhaps there is prophecy of one who will lead you back to glory? A child perhaps? There are rumblings from the North: Tripp Palin, borne of a would be virgin, is that prophesied leader.

The beaten tend to live in the past or the future because the present, where they're getting their asses kicked, is just too humiliating and painful.

Inode the S&P 500 was at 805 (and in a downward spiral) on inauguration day... closed at 929 yesterday, a 15.4% gain. By your own definition Obama is doing a great job.
