I'm a little hesitant to make firm recommendations, in light
of the blood I'm shedding now. I believe both companies
will perform very well over the near term - once the market
stabilizes. I bought Dec. $65 calls on ABF on projections of
great earnings numbers - which we got. What will happen
tomorrow is anybody's guess, but, the earnings call for
at least a $10 move in the stock -again, given a stable
market. As for CPQ, they reported blowout earnings as well
and they also declared a 2 for 1 split and a dividend - three
terriffic pieces of news - and the stock has lost $20/share.
I like the Jan. or April calls on CPQ once the market stabilizes,
but why buy now if it dips another $3. There is market
support of CPQ at about $56 now - who knows about tomorrow.
good trading, Kent
