To the Pope, your eminance, "PAR/Freeman Associates thing?"
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. The way I read it is that, some companies contract with analysts to review their company, their books, products, operations, etc.,etc. Then the analyst(who is being paid by the co.)will hopefully give an unbiased(yeah, right)positive report to the businesswires with a "buy" recommendation.

These analysts cost $$$$. Not every co. can afford them. This "PAR thing" looks like a different animal.A co. pays small dues to PAR Associates, who have a lot of other cos. paying them dues. PAR then invites other independent analysts who are looking for the next "Conseco" to look at their dues paying cos.

By the way, it did look like good news on the quarterly report. Too bad they picked today of all days to release the news, or else we would have seen $3.00 again, in my humble opinion. Revenues and EPS of $0.04 were UP!
