Don't let the 'baggers at the store' put too much stuff in the bags!!!! They know me at my grocery store...I want paper in plastic** (their paper always breaks handles, and I don't want groceries splattered over the driveway)...I want frozen stuff together, meat together, and nothing more than 5 pounds or so... They are very good, and really do accommodate me...they even carry out our bagged groceries and the store won't let them take tips.

They really do spoil their customers. Of course, we have to pay for it because their prices are higher than other stores, and certainly more than Costco.

BUT, we can't get things like the kind of toothpaste we use, or 1/2 gals of milk at Costco....so both types of store are great!

**I reuse the paper bags, and also the plastic bags so no waste. Also, did you know that it takes paper longer to disintegrate in the land fills than it does plastic? Oregon did a big study on that...

I use those big Costco bags for bringing in bulky stuff that isn't too heavy, but hard to take more than one thing at a time in...these big bags are great for that...or bringing in wrapping paper rolls, or toilet paper and paper towels....I keep some in my trunk for just those things...

The Costco bags can get too heavy if you're not careful about how you load them. The solution would be to put less heavy stuff in and make more trips, and I like the Costco bags better than the little ones at Walmart and other places. They're cheaper too. As usual, you get a bundle of them.

I've seen rolling baskets. Might be a good idea to check them out.
