The drooling anti-Americans are not in my gang. It's quite amusing to see the frenzied criticisms of Obama for such absurd trivia as to whether he bowed to the Keeper of Islam's holy assets or not, and other pedantry such as a comment about the Special Olympics which was a perfectly reasonable comment. It's a much better idea to try being friendly to people rather than presume they are permanently locked into a doomsday confrontation. He has a chance at a more or less fresh start with Iran, Palestinians, Russia, China etc. so he might as well take it. He can always nuke them if they are set on their paths of megalomaniac destruction. It's not anti-American to criticize various things about the USA. You might note that at any given time, half the USA is vituperative in their denunciation of the USA. Now it's the Republican side who is foaming at the mouth. Over the last few years it was the other side. Because the USA is so dominant in world affairs, it is obvious that they catch the most criticism. That's not to say Equatorial Guinea doesn't deserve more, it's just that people don't expect anything better from them and whatever they do, it's inconsequential to the other 6 billion of us. You should worry when the USA is ignored as irrelevant, because then the USA will have deteriorated to just another also-ran. Great Britain was once the dominant geopolitical entity. Now Britain is a squabbling medium sized country with internal problems sufficient to keep them busy for a couple of generations. Surely you don't really think the aliens should just bow down to the wondrous processes emanating from Washington DC like so many Moslems kneeling like a world full of canned sardines to Mecca. The other 5 billion of us aren't potted plants for the pleasure of the USA, surprising though that might seem. You were obviously in the anti-American camp too: < Suffice to say that I am totally in agreement with the criticisms concerning the abortive policies of the previous American administration as a cursory review of most of my posts would clearly indicate. > Until Obama won anyway.
