I'll make a note to lose sleep over it, along with all the other apocalyptic predictions I read on SI nowadays. It's a long list now, since democracy, freedom, civilization, prosperity and now our health are all doomed, from what I hear. I must be one of the few people in the US who is roughly satisfied with how our government is acting and where we are going. Lots of problems and obstacles remain but nothing insurmountable, and nothing that is going to bring us crashing down. Actually, the number of people who think the country is going in the right direction has bounced dramatically. They just don't howl about it online like so many others. pollingreport.com
