Yes it is gorgeous. Polson is a sleepy little town, except in the summer. That's Polson in the night lights, if you looked at any of the pictures.

Word to the wise: Observe speed limits. I got one of my two speeding tickets of the last 40 years in Polson.

I was walking Bubba in the rain tonight and started recalling. I do that a lot since not much is going on in my life.

In HS we had a coach Bertenalli. Tough guy who everyone was afraid of. He had a pretty daughter that he wouldn't let date and everyone was scared to ask her out. Graduation party she was sitting with her father and I asked her to dance right in front of him. People were shocked!! We did a fast dance ane then a slow one where Bert had steam flowing from his ears. She was so outta my league in looks and smarts that I was a little boy playing in the majors.

Two years later I was driving home from college and stopped at a farm and shot a pheasant. Now Bert had always wanted a pheasant to eat so I took it to the high school where he was coaching swimming. I walked into the pool room and Bert yelled through the SOB in the pool. I showed Bert the bird and I became his long lost son.

That bird had a 31" tail feather and that was back when the longest tail feather, usually 27" won a pair of boots. I gave it to my girlfriend for safe keeping and she got mad at and cut into 1" pieces.
