AIG was critical. If they were allowed to fold, then that would have taken most of the world's banks with it. And that would have been fun.

yeah, that's why Geitner funneled over 90 billion dollars to AIG so they could launder it overseas without Congressional approval.

We've had this argument before. While it is possible, it is not a foregone conclusion as you suggest.
