Sy has not made his official announcement of the start of his UNFAVORABLE season to non subscribers yet , Investor2 . Sy did make his official announcement to non subscribers that his FAVORABLE season that started last October 28th / 29th . So Sy was fully invested for this latest rally that started on March 9th . Normally in Sy's UNFAVORABLE season he is entirely OUT of the stock market in his suggested " Seasonal Timing Strategy " portfolio and invested in cash ( money market ) . And in Sy's other two suggested portfolios , his " non - seasonal Market - Timing Strategy " portfolio and his suggested " Aggressive Seasonal Timing Strategy " portfolio in his unfavorable season , Sy usually will issue different short ETFs to buy until the start of his next favorable season sometime next fall . Knowing Sy , I suspect that Sy will post shortly in the next few days or weeks publicly to non subscribers when his unfavorable season started in his six times a week free daily blogs and his once weekly free commentary .
