geithner and the banks keep saying how *healthy* they are - we make money, we can pay back tarp, yadda, yadda, yadda... why do we need PPIP then?

the *truth* is that they are insolvent without jettisoning their toxic assets onto the public.

I covered my COF short for a 12% gain, they let the spring unwind for a few minutes but now it's bouncing back as expected
