Ameritech Extends Contract For DSC's Access Solutions Through 2002

DSC to Expand Use of Litespanr Systems and Deliver More Fiber-to-the-Curb (FTTC) Systems for Future Broadband Applications

dsccc.com

I don't see a connection with Westell. Just like the JPC contract, we see Ameritech selecting a DSC "VDSL/FTTC" solution. Isn't this an area where Amati was well in the lead? Alcatel wins the ADSL portion, DSC wins the NGDLC portion, and Westell can't announce anything. The frustration mounts.... until later.

curlton and all--

i usually love these sell offs. i am sure everyone can understand why i am not happy today. usually when the dow gets hit, we either go up or are left alone. we are already down significantly from the high and i think today was overdone. i think a rally tomorrow may occur later in the day. the short positions have increased and they should start covering. in addition, i have a feeling there are many people like me with some cash for buying.

oh hell, i am grasping at straws. i just do not have an explaination for any of this. ASIA affecting us? i dont get it. i understand the mechanics of the situation. but it should not have had this kind of an impact on us. our economy is strong, inflation is nil, interest rates are heading lower and earnings are either mostly good or in line.

but all that aside, even if it had to effect the dow and nasdaq, it did not have to effect WSTL. we're already down significantly from our high, unlike MSFT and INTC, and even at that high, with the bell atlantic contract we were STILL overvalued. i get the feeling that we just got fuc_ed without even a kiss.

and the CC. god, could it have come at a worse time.

well, there is one thought that makes me smile. the MMs will never get my stock. i will use it for wall paper before i give it up. and telechoice needs to shut its speculative mouth.

good luck to all,
trey
