I listened in on the Conf. Call. Going through my notes ....... 14% of sales come from Asian Pacific,mostly Japan and Korea. they have not seen a slowdown there. Many new products were brought to market in the Q. the sales force is being increased with hires from Bay, 3Com and Fore.MRV has a goal to double the sales force by the spring. Noam was pleased with production of the new sales people. OEM bussiness less than 20% of sales. 2-4 OEM partners are evolving into next generation products. The true focus of MRV right now is on sales and marketing of N base and MRV products. New Megaswitch 5000 compares to Cisco 5000 at half the price!! Strong backlog for Giga Hub in Europe.Winning projects including Min of Justice in the Netherlands. IP switches were tested along with compitition by a trade magazine. Results will be published next mo. Noam said they have a copy of the results and MRV recieved a perfect score on every test!! New GIGAFRAME 30-12 shipped last friday." Extremely appealing' product . new low cost desk top switch now on the market.Noam feels there is excellent growth in that area. Overall Noam feels that the 2 things that will drive growth are 1.high density 10-100 switches 2.Gigabyte switches With growth rates at over 50% and with MRV's product mix ...........
