There are good and bad attempts at humor and some are good at it and others lousy.

In general, hoping someone will die because you don't like their politics isn't funny. Especially when its pretty obvious its meant. 'I hope his kidneys fail' is kind of like Sarah Bernhardt's publicly expressed hope that Sarah Palin be gang-raped.
