I'm with you there, that's why my laundry basket comes in so handy for carrying up more than folded clothes. How DOES so much get down that needs to go up????

Mrs. Smithee's technique is to leave things on the landing to go upstairs and then walks right by the accumulated mess not taking anything. I am usually the one who takes the items upstairs.
