It's interesting that the guy's top pick is Windows 7 Virtual Machine and XP Pre-installed Environment. I've been trying the Virtual Machine. But as well as XP, I've installed Windows 98. So far, I've encountered no problems. But there's a mystery... I've tried to install Windows 98 on my machine with no success. I can get it as far as running in Safe Mode, but when I try to start it in Normal Mode, it freezes. After a number of tries to complete the installation, I gave up. I'm sure it's a device driver, and I could check the logs and hunt down the problem, but time's precious too. It speaks well of the Windows 7 Virtual Machine that it works where a "virgin" machine fails. Cheers, PW. P.S. I'm still tormented by Windows 7 and Sleep Mode S3 not cooperating. I think the BIOS is to blame. Sleep Mode S1 works, but it has shortcomings. P.S. Dell Inspiron 530. Spiffy new hardware and obsolete software. If I can get these two cooperating, I should try my hand in the Middle East. P.P.S. I can access all the computers on my home network except for the Windows 7 system I'm using to host the Virtual Machine.
