Alomex, In your opening statement in your "Projections" post:techstocks.com you stated: "For the record, when Apple was at $13 in July, I called bottom. From there on the stock crawled up to $19 pershare, and culminating at $29 per share." It was this claim of calling bottom at $13 in July that I was curious about, and you did not address this in your reply. techstocks.com I, therefore, took a look for myself. Here's what I found. On June 29, when AAPL was trading at 14 11/16 (a 10 year low), you called a bottom of $13.techstocks.com The problem is that 2 days later on July 1st, the first day AAPL actually dropped into the 13's, you readjusted your bottom to $11.techstocks.com AAPL never went lower than $13. Between July 2 and July 31, AAPL marched from 13 1/16 to 17 1/2. During this period, you posted quite a bit, however, you didn't recommend any buys. What's more, most of your posts had a disparaging attitude towards Apple. Five days later, on August 5, after AAPL had jumped 2 more points to 19 3/4, you called a tentative "bottom", with the following reservations: "They might still tumble one or two more steps (as with the issue of licensing MacOS 8), but their situation will not worsen much more than that." This so called "bottom" had missed over 6 points (roughly 45%) of gains in the previous month. You also finished that post by stating that you had no confidence in Steve Jobs as COB. The next day, August 6th, AAPL moved up 7 points on Jobs' announcements at MacWorld Boston. I guess the reason the business about calling the bottom at 13 in July caught my attention was that I did call the bottom on July 2 at 13 1/16, and bought in. techstocks.com And I recalled your posts making me nervous about my decision. Thank heavens you didn't deter me. I know that time has a way of distorting our memories. But I felt that this correction was warranted, lest some less experienced investors might take your "Projections" to heart. Scott
