Tough times are already here. There is a serious doctor and nurse shortage. Just because your med school is over-applied, does not mean there is not a shortage of working doctors. Many doctors, like my brother, have left clinical medicine to do other things. They are discouraged by the insurance company limits and the prospect that socialized medicine is around the corner. My brother has been talking about socialized medicine for some time, long before Obama was even a candidate.
