Actually, results can be good if you're not afraid to go to the doctor and be wiped out.

Of if you can afford to fly to MD Anderson or the Cleveland Clinic. For schmoes like us that go to the locals it's mediocre.

The free market is beginning to compete with American medicine, and beating the crap out of it.

More and more people are combining an exotic vacation in a foreign location with major medical procedures. The cost of it ALL is often much less that the same procedure done here, and the quality of the care is often higher.

I looked into it before having my recent double cataract surgery. As my local cost was only $7500 out-of-pocket, the math didn't work out. If I ever need heart surgery - I'm off to India or Thailand.
