Maurice, you are right if you assume zero pent up demand. Which is not true. One could/should start pricing at perhaps .50/min at least in NAmerican, given its competive roaming situation. Demand would be huge.... the gradually ramp up.

Also, it would be a marketing disaster to start the phone prices at $3000 per. You are too fixated w/the purity of your pricing model. You are right, in a way, but you also need to consider human psychology. We are not in the Chicago futures grain pits here...(I say in NYC, the citadel of World Free Market Capitalism). The consumer will be left with the slow to disapate impression that G* satcoms is only for the really rich if you kick off like that. Terrible marketing Maurice!!! Terrible. Sacrifice a little of your pure pricing model for the marketing.

I will address your marketing concerns, re donuts for pentagon dinosuars, more fully by an by.
