I don't think he can be openly gay in Fla. The panhandle leans right, and the old folks may be mostly northern Democrats, but they are not fond of Gay's.

Crist is wildly popular in FL. Popular enough to come out openly as gay, become a (D), and STILL win his Senate seat!

He may be put to the test.
