95 BCF INJECTION - A little less than expected, but still a hefty build compared to historical norms for this time of the year.

Summary:
Working gas in storage was 2,013 Bcf as of Friday, May 8, 2009, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 95 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 497 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 374 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,639 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 47 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 59 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 235 Bcf above the 5-year average of 619 Bcf after a net injection of 23 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 92 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 13 Bcf. At 2,013 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Injection estimates for this week's EIA report ranged from
88 bcf to 103 bcf with most traders and analysts expecting
stocks to rise by about 95 bcf when weekly data is released
Thursday at about 10:30 a.m. EDT, a Reuters survey showed.
Stocks rose an adjusted 86 bcf for the same week last year,
while the five-year average build for that week is 90 bcf.
