"Since SD already mentioned contraception earlier in that sentence, it's obvious that "family planning" in that context means abortion"

It isn't obvious at all. Family planning isn't all about contraception, it is about, you know, planning.

"There is nothing "family-oriented" or "planned" about an abortion."

In your zeal to generate a sound byte, you wound up over-reaching. The lack of planning, actually, has to do with the pregnancy. An abortion definitely is about planning, it isn't like a woman walks by an abortion facility and thinks "saay, why not pop in for a quick abortion?"...

And it certainly is about the family, either starting one or expanding one. Serious decisions are made.

I wasn't referring to abortion, but you illustrate well Conservative opposition to, and hatred of family planning.

Abstinence only education is another anti-family-planning Conservative contribution to teen pregnancy in America. What really is the difference between banning contraception and banning knowledge of it?

"Since SD already mentioned contraception earlier in that sentence, it's obvious that "family planning" in that context means abortion, i.e. killing an unborn child."

Wow! You learn something NEW every day! And here, all along I thought "family planning" meant waiting to have kids until you can afford them, and knowing the costs EACH ONE will add in money and time.
