It's odd how we always blow up our "enemies" into "Hitlers", but in reality, we haven't been up against any that posed a real threat since WWII. But amazingly, we've LOST one war against a "lesser" foe (Vietnam), DRAWN another (Korea) and had serious trouble with most of the rest, except the joke "invasion" of Grenada.

We did fine in the Balkans, but never committed ground troops. That's the model we should follow.

The reality is that Saddam's incompetence as a general made the war much easier than it might have been. The guy had no understanding of military strategy at all.

Yet another reason Bush's invasion was unnecessary folly.
