david, i haven't checked volatilities on qntm options this p.m., but the oex volatility index was at 35% at 3.30 est, vs 22% last week, and 22% is already a historically hi number. if you buy qntm options now, short or longer term, you may be buying a huge amount of time premium.

I don't trade options. I am not in love with QNTM, but do think it is a well run company with a good future, and there is excellent potential for long term appreciation. That's why I didn't sell [well, maybe I would have sold if I could have gotten through.... ;-) ]

David:

I bought some Nov 35 calls just before the close today. Crossing my fingers that the volatility will hold up and the price will rise a few points some time in the next couple of weeks. This is my first attempt at buying calls; they seemed cheap at 1 3/8.
