"I don't think they liked it when some F15s killed 26 US personnel in a friendly-fire incident -- a hazard in any military operation --"

You even been to an air force base? When I was in college the first time, I worked for Tampa Coca Cola. One summer, I had McDill air force base on my route. McDill is, or at least was, a SAC base there at the end of Dale Mabry. There was a sign at the gate which said something along the lines of "__ days since last fatal accident". There was never more than two digits and often only one.

Fatalities are part of working around those planes.

So we went to war to avoid another friendly fire incident?

In December'98, under Clinton, Saddam loudly declared the NFZs were no longer respected and offered compensation to anyone who could shoot down an American plane. No, it never happened...

So we went to war 'cause Saddam was an ineffective bellicose fool?

Your lack of understanding of this subject matter ...

Listen 'node, when you constantly pull that insult shit it makes you look weak. Your argument can't stand on it's own so you have resort to denigration. I don't even read it when you start your childish pattering.

Oops! Another R to be disenfranchised by Rush!

Roberta McCain, blunt as ever, whacks Limbaugh, Steele

John McCain's mother, on "The Tonight Show" last night, dismissed talk show host Rush Limbaugh and blasted RNC Chairman Michael Steele for backing off his own dismissal of the radio host.

[see vid clip...its worth the watch]

"I don't know what the man means, I don't know what he's talking about," the elder McCain said. "He does not represent the Republican Party that I belong to."

She went on criticize Michael Steele for backing off his own criticism of Limbaugh.

"I think that the chairman of the Republican Party, Steele, was exactly right when he defined this man as an entertainer, and to my horror the Republican Party made him back up on it," she said.
