"CJ, when I say the phrase "there is nothing 'planned' about an abortion," I'm not making the claim that there is no shred of planning that goes into the process."

Gotcha. You say things you don't mean. And to question that is 'splitting hairs'...

"As for my nephew, he's just an example of how many families start without any planning whatsoever"

So? Other people like to make plans. Your point?

"Most people who advocate the euphemism "family planning" more often than not treat unplanned pregnancies as a curse."

Link?

Oh, and I have added "euphemism" to the list.

LAs for my nephew, he's just an example of how many families start without any planning whatsoever. Most people who advocate the euphemism "family planning" more often than not treat unplanned pregnancies as a curse.

Your suggesting that spontaneous pregnancies are the way to go. So then, what do you think of people who plan their pregnancies?
