Each of us live better than any kings did in the past. Clean running water, hot even! Sewage taken care of. Heat and A/C on demand. Clean light at night. The ability to travel anywhere in the world. Food from all over the world available at the corner supermarket anytime we want it. The ability to communicate with family/friends all over the world instantly.

Our standard of living is so far above the people's of the past that it's pathetic. We live like Gods compared to what they had.
