never fickle in love unless betrayed. it is not moi who is fickle. gays in the military? dumped. dumped dumped. needle exchange. dumped.

dumped time and again. yes... a wise woman opens her eyes and realizes when a man is fickle and moves on.

For background, Nicholas... I am 50. but as a youth I wanted nothing more than to serve in the military... nothing more than to serve my country but not lie...and in 1976 to serve, I had to say I was not a lesbian. what to do? I would not and will not lie about a matter so close to the heart and essense. So here I am. And Obama continues it. With no compunction. Sorry but that 'hand-writ' letter to someone he fired doesn't cut it. I am 50. That means. .... counting in my head... 33 years ago. And yet Obama can not make it right? I don't count to him. period. that is it, Nich. period. I am not fickle. say what you will. I put my faith in those who stand up for me as I stand up for them. I stand up for those who stand up for me, and Obama chooses not to stand up. So be it.

To get blunter - it is too late for me. I am 50. I can no longer join up in the military. But until the day Obama lets my brothers and sisters serve without lying... as he said he would do... I will consider him to be fickle. And that is that.

You're a good guy, Nich, so maybe you shouldn't be the target of a belabored point but you said it "fickle". so here it is... do you have any idea what it feels like to be a teenager and want nothing more than to serve your country in the military but know you can not do that if you are gay? do you? are you gay or ever feel driven to be in the military? Tell me how I am to feel when Obama blows off the young people that I thought, surely, after 30 plus years could serve openly and with pride and with pride given in return? when the first young man or woman who signs up because they are willing to give their life for their country and their country does not ask first "unm, but first, you queer?"... then I will be non-fickle. What is too late for me, is not too late for another. And I will not back down and Obama can smile all he wants. Smiles are cheap.
