If you don’t have an Ivy League blood line to fall back on it has long been considered a smart move right out of law school to go to work for the SEC. Do some time there to find the leaks and fill up your address book. After a year or two, hire on at a power firm to take advantage of the holes and get filthy rich doing it.
It is the American dream. Honor, integrity and high moral character not required.
