Obama's and the CBO's budget outlooks show massive deficits continuing out indefinately. And Obama's numbers assume he gets cap and tax revenues. We'd have to go to Scandinavian levels of taxation to get close to a balanced budget. Which may be the Democratic plan - spend so much and get so many people dependent on govt spending there is pressure to raise taxes. I'm not convinced now we were headed toward another Great Depression. We have free trade now and FDIC to provent runs of ordinary depositors as compared to the 30's.
