Ronnie, Re: NAZ @ 1300

Think it may happen, but believe too many speculators ignored the signs of a melt-down 3 -4 wks. ago. I posted to Tony on the main thread tonight, have always believed fully in Frank's approach that time-horizon is the key. Trading in retirement plans may seem appealing to some, but NOBODY can time a market. Buy on the fundamentals, hold for the long term on the great cos. and reap the rewards. 3 -4 weeks ago I sensed too many rationalizations for big drops in INTC, others. Could not see buying into techs, even tho' tempted, esp. CPQ. Held off & glad to have resources to ponder in the next month. Margin calls, fund redemptions, herd mentality killed the short termers.Cash is nice to have, esp. in Self-directed ret. plans; Once things settle down (IMO by mid to end of Nov.) the true investors will benefit. By next year and beyond, those of us who stayed the course will prevail.

Regards, Royco

P.S. Sonny, If you're reading, hang in there. I still like UIS, it should double by '98!
