I had a job interview lunch with Abbey in 1979, when she was still with T. Rowe Price. She wasn't a teenager at that time. We didn't get along very well, though lunch was great. I already had a handful of job offers and didn't feel any need to let her get away with crap. She was totally immersed in relative performance, telling me their income fund was doing great while it was losing money. "One of the top funds in its category." My feeling has always been that losing money is nothing to brag about.
