Tenchu, in the desktop market price is a very big advantage. Especially if you have a performance advantage.

"Price isn't the only competitive factor, and "superiority" had yet to be demonstrated by AMD."

When you have a margin that is in the single digits, price is a huge competitive factor. No reason to put it in quotes, AMD had been showing superiority for a long while by the time the deal was likely offered.
