Sales tax here in FL is mainly state but there are some local 1/2 to 1%-ers tacked on.

In the town of Jupiter, FL for instance...the budget has gone from $40 Million to 4100 Million in about 7 years. Now they are crying about a 7 million shortfall. All I can say is "wait 'til next year" when they have to include short sales and foreclosures in assessments. Carnage. Up 'til this year they could pass them off as distressed sales and ignored them.
No mas, too many of them.
