"If you think the average adult can compete with the appeal of a Lindsey Lohan or B. Spears or one of the Gossip Girls, I've got news for you......they can't.

Average adults like your friends? Like who, bentway? Even RW, who is a reasonable person, assumes children to be brats that only more money into education can help.

I see lots of kids who reject the model of those 'Gossip Girls'. They saw the early B. Spears shows and saw Lindsey Lohan in movies and loved their acts. They reject their pathetic life styles without hesitation. They know all that glitters isn't gold.

They don't do that because they have some 'average' adult sleep walking them through childhood. They do it because they have internalized the values of a decent upbringing by adults who love them and 'who model and encourage noble endeavor, for good and conscionable purposes.' Of course they also teach them to think through an issue and determine its consequences but not in an unprincipled vacuum.
