Oh please, every time Intel builds a new $2-4B fab, that's an epic gamble right there. Every time Intel crafts a five-year roadmap and commits to it, that's an epic gamble right there. Intel is in the business of making all of its decisions pay off with maximum returns.

The "backs to the wall" is your fantasy.

If that's the case, the Intel and AMD might as well just form a duopoly, because there is no way on Earth that Neelie would ever allow AMD to fail on its own.
